Who we are
Business Vacation is the independent product studio of AI Ventures, LLC (“AI Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Mat Silverstein and Jex Musa in San Diego, California. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with businessvacation.com and the messages we send from it.
Our products have their own policies. If you use X1 Wealth, Minutes, or RxVIP Network, the privacy policy published by that product governs your use of it, not this one.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, subscribe to an update list, or ask us to send you text messages, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, mobile phone number, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting and analytics providers record standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this to keep the site working and to understand traffic in aggregate.
Messaging metadata. When we send or receive a text message, our messaging provider records the phone numbers involved, the message content, delivery status, and timestamps.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information — government identifiers, health records, financial account credentials, or precise location — through this website.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To send the updates or notifications you asked to receive, by email or by text message.
- To understand aggregate traffic patterns and diagnose technical problems.
- To comply with law and to protect our rights, our users, and the public.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or to serve targeted advertising.
Mobile numbers and SMS data
We use a text messaging service so that our own automated systems and our small team can send notifications to people who have explicitly asked to receive them. Mobile numbers are collected only from people who provide them for this purpose.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services — such as the messaging platform that delivers the text — is permitted solely to operate the messaging program. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for any other purpose, and are never sold.
Your consent to receive text messages is not shared with anyone, is not transferred if we change service providers except as needed to keep the messages flowing, and is never used to market third-party products.
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can request help by replying HELP or emailing us. Full messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only to the extent they need it to provide their service to us. These currently include:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
- Supabase — storage for subscription records.
- Twilio — delivery of text messages.
- Vercel Analytics — aggregate, privacy-preserving traffic measurement.
- Email providers — sending and receiving correspondence.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of AI Ventures, LLC or others. If our business is ever transferred, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses only what it needs to function, plus privacy-preserving analytics that measure page views in aggregate. We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site advertising cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; the site remains usable if you do.
Retention
We keep information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to honor the unsubscribe. Message logs are kept for a limited operational period. Records of an opt-out are kept indefinitely so we can continue to honor it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or email us.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message.
- Access, correction, deletion. Email us and we will act on reasonable requests within the time the law allows.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR — including the right to know what we hold, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email mat@businessvacation.com.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
We operate from the United States and our providers process information in the United States. If you use the site from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this document always reflects the current version. Material changes to how we handle text messaging will be announced to affected subscribers before they take effect.
